No Amen to that...definitely.

Hey

Just come across one video on FB in someone's profile.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7-XqNUWDNk&feature=related

From the video

Mohammed Bouyeri murdered Van Gogh in the early morning of 2 November 2004, in Amsterdam, in front of the Amsterdam East borough office (stadsdeelkantoor) on the corner of the Linnaeusstraat and Tweede Oosterparkstraat ( he was cycling to work. [3] Bouyeri shot van
Gogh eight times with an HS 2000 handgun, and Van Gogh died on the spot. Bouyeri then attempted to decapitate him[4] and stabbed him in the chest. Two knives were left implanted in his torso, one attaching a five-page note to his body. The note (Text) threatened Western Governments, Jews and Ayaan Hirsi Ali (who went into hiding).[5][6] The note also contained eferences to the ideologies of the Egyptian organization Takfir wal-Hijra.

The killer, Mohammed Bouyeri, a 26-year-old Dutch-Moroccan citizen, was apprehended by the police after being shot in the leg. Bouyeri has alleged terrorist ties with the Dutch Hofstad Network. He was also charged with the attempted murder of a police officer and bystander, illegal possession of a firearm, and conspiring to murder others, including Hirsi Ali. He was convicted on 26 July 2005 and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.

How shameful. The incidents like these really makes one doubtful about whether we are still living in a dark age.

And its not very long before this things start happening in our "Secular" country.
Some months back there was this huge furore all over the world over some cartoons of muhammad posted in Dannish newspaper.
Immediately the "fatwas" were issued against those cartoonists all over the world by the apostles of "Religion of Peace".
I remember some maulavi from UP who had announced a bounty of 51 Crores for beheading the Dannish cartoonist.
Apparently he did it live on some news channel.
This things frighten me as a citizen of India. Is it so easy to do something like this and get away with it.
Is it so easy to break into someones tolerance.

I have no prejudices against any theists.(I myself was a pious one once)
Each one has right to believe and have faith.
Though according to me Faith is an overrated virtue. It has done more harm than good. But keeping your faith and beliefs to yourself and not imposing them on others, also to remain unscathed even if someone questions them or makes a mockery are some of the respectable traits in theist.

I respect such theists.I really do.And we seriously need more like you.

For other intolerant hypocrites out there,I just want to ask why do you fucking care what someone says about your religion if your faith is so strong.
Why are you people fucking insecure all the time desperately wanting to reach the throat of whoever sopposedly blasphemes you beliefs.
Of course the debate about which religion is harmless compared to other would never end. There is really no point in that.
The truth is that none is open for critisism.
Every one is so much jumpy about their religion, language, caste and region. Its really ironic when we quote "Unity in Diversity" again and again.
People somehow never run outta things to make themselves condescending towards others.

The religions and their proponents with their "holier-than-thou" attitude are actively unmaking this a better place to live.
The Jihad,MF Hussain painintgs,WTC,Kashmir terrorism, felonies pertaining to caste system, the dark age punishments under sharia, mistreatment of women the list never ends.
(God(!) forbid) but if there ever is a third world war,it will be fought for the religion.
The extremists all over the world are setting it up nicely for us.

Disclaimer:
I am not in favor of any religion.
I am an Atheist. And its my personal opinion that there should be no religions at all.
Their cons outweigh their pros by a tonne.
That way We would atleast have one reason less to kill other people.
It high time not to be dependent on some religious code book to drive our scruples.

PS: If anyone's feelings got hurt..well you need to grow up.
